As part of ongoing improvements to car parking and a move towards digital solutions, new payment machines for visitor parking will be installed at the following locations from Monday 22 July taking approximately one week to install.

The machines will be replaced in the following order and locations:

  1. Bowland Ave East
  2. North Drive West
  3. North Drive East
  4. Farrer Avenue
  5. South Drive West
  6. South West Campus West
  7. Health Innovation Campus

The new machines work on 4G and should prove more efficient and reliable for users. Tickets will not be generated for display and compliance will be checked via security mobile Automatic Number Plate Recognition(ANPR) devices.

In addition to the new machines RingGo Cashless Parking Solution is now in place across all visitor car parks. Visitors can pay for parking via app, by phone or using the RingGo website. Detailed instructions on using RingGo to pay for parking are signposted at all visitor car parks.

All payment for parking on campus is cashless. Our parking machines accept card payments only (contactless and chip & pin + mobile payment e.g. Google & Apple Pay). Payment by cash is not possible.

More information on Visitor parking is available on the Visitor parking webpage.
